Sunday Ka Sukoon noticed these families at the government hospital in Sehore and decided to do something simple: serve them a warm, home-style meal.

What began as an act of care became a promise.

For more than 500 consecutive days, volunteers continued to arrive and serve food. More than 90,000 meals have been served—and the effort continues without unnecessary disposable plastic.

For us, these are not just 90,000 plates of food. They are thousands of moments when someone going through a difficult day was quietly reminded:

You are not alone.

So instead of keeping the celebration within their own homes, members of Sunday Ka Sukoon decided to take a part of their Diwali somewhere else.

They travelled to a small village near Sehore, where more than 300 children came together for a celebration filled with sweets, toys, festivities and laughter. Local officials, including the district administration and police leadership, joined the occasion.

For a few beautiful hours, there was no difference between someone's festival and someone else's. There was simply a group of children celebrating Diwali.

And perhaps that is what a festival is meant to be—

Happiness that grows when it is shared.

Sunday Ka Sukoon decided that planting alone was not enough.

The team continued returning to the trees—watering them, protecting them and helping them survive the difficult months that followed.

Today, hundreds of growing trees across Sehore quietly tell that story. Along with plantation work, the team has installed large planters and developed several public beautification and selfie zones across the city.

Sunday Ka Sukoon wondered: what if the community didn't need disposable plates at all?

The team arranged a reusable steel utensil bank capable of serving around 1,000 people and made it available for community functions without charge.

Now, instead of buying hundreds of disposable plates for an event, organizers can use steel utensils that can be washed and used again.

It is not a complicated environmental innovation. And perhaps that is exactly why it works. Sometimes sustainability begins with something as ordinary as

Washing a plate instead of throwing it away.

During that moment, a grieving family should not have to worry about how they will arrange transportation for someone they have just lost.

Sunday Ka Sukoon therefore introduced a free service with a deliberately meaningful name: Moksh Vahan. Moksh means liberation. Vahan means the vehicle that carries someone on their journey.

For more than 17 months, the service has helped families in Sehore completely free of charge. Rich or poor, regardless of caste, religion or social position, the belief remains the same: if a person's arrival into this world was treated with dignity, their departure deserves the same respect.

Moksh Vahan is therefore more than a vehicle. It is a promise that, even on someone's final journey,

They will not be left alone.

So Sunday Ka Sukoon tries to notice them too.

During the hotter months, volunteers arrange food and drinking water for cows and other animals, helping them through the harshest days of summer.

It is a small part of our work, but it represents something important about the kind of community we hope to create.

There was no politician leading the effort. No millionaire standing behind it. No large government fund waiting to finance the work.

There were simply people willing to contribute their own time, effort and hard-earned money.

Over the years, that commitment has helped create greener public spaces, community installations, plantation projects, cleanliness initiatives and several beautification and selfie zones around Sehore.

The dream behind all of it remains surprisingly simple:
